Indictment Blows Wide Open at National Cash Register Co
Cincinnati February 22 thirty officials and employes of the National Cash Register company in Dayton Ohio were indicted on Sherman anti trust charges by a federal grand jury. Names include Patterson Deeds Etgetter Bippus. Indictments allege rivals were bought out and embezzled and that competitor credits were damaged by carried libels. Adams Express Company also indicted on eleven counts for overcharging. Washington notes this begins a likely series of indictments against express firms. Lane reports three thousand overcharge cases in one day.

Letter Found on Boy Confesses a Murder
In Cheyenne Wyoming on February 22 a letter confessing a Republic Michigan murder was found on 17 year old William Perry who, with Leo Powers two years younger, was arrested for stealing 1600 dollars from Powers' brother in law. The letter to Perry's mother says Perry killed a man in a quarrel over a girl in Republic four months ago. Perry declines to discuss the matter. July 22, 1892.
