Evansville Ind Feb 15 The auditing committee probing the Vanderburgh county treasurer office reports a shortage of 128 dollars. It states John P Walker began misusing funds shortly after taking office serving four years. County protected by bonding companies.

Philadelphia February 14 counsel for the James Dunlap Carpet company reports the firm is temporarily embarrassed with liabilities about 600000 dollars. Assets are expected to exceed this amount. The cause cited is unpaid stock subscriptions and President James Dunlap's "run up against the interest."
