New London Conn April 23 Local United States Steamboat Inspectors Withey and Steward have made public their findings in the steamer Larchmont disaster on the night of Feb 11 when upwards of 100 lives were lost in the sinking after collision with the schooner Harry Knowlton in Block Island sound. The responsibility for the collision is laid upon Pilot John L Anson of the Larchmont who was drowned and Capt George W McVey is practically exonerated. Train wreck near Blaisdell injures dozen in North Dakota
A Great Northern passenger train derailed one mile east of Blaisdell due to a broken rail. Twelve people were seriously hurt and about a dozen others lightly injured as cars including baggage express mail, smoker, day coach and tourist sleeper toppled into a ditch.
