Mackinaw City April 20 The grain laden steamer Eben Ward sank six miles west of Mackinaw City after striking an ice floe. Five crew members drowned and ten were rescued. The 215 foot vessel owned by D. M. Ferry Co of Detroit was sailing from Milwaukee to Port Huron.
