London reports rumors of plots to burn International exhibition buildings in Dublin opening May 4. Authorities say the plans have been discovered in time to frustrate them and attribute the plots to Irish political factions opposed to international exhibitions.
Over 75 indictments were presented to Judge Morris by the grand jury in Toledo. The true bills include lumber dealers brick manufacturers and members of the Master Plumbers association for violation of the Valentine anti trust law.
Representatives of 35 independent telephone companies met to consider a verbal proposal by Central Union Telephone to abandon its local exchange and lease or sale it to independents. Bell companies reportedly lose money on local service and may exit state markets except long distance. A similar move is expected in Ohio, with Indiana convention in May.

John Gunderson confessed to robbing the Northern Express office and forcing clerk Fred Zimmerman to surrender a $25,000 package. He was sentenced to the St. Cloud reformatory at 2 p.m. yesterday after a morning municipal court appearance, waiving formalities. Less than three days passed between the robbery and sentencing.
An Ottawa committee said lumber prices are excessive and found a combine in the Beta Lumbermen's association and the Lumbermen's Manufacturers' association. It will seek more evidence before ruling on the latter group.

He wounded himself with a jagged crockery piece in his hotel room, found nearly dead, with doctors unable to save him.
At Valette Malta on April 20 the British torpedo boat Ariel collided with a breakwater during a night maneuver outside Grand Harbor. The vessel sank and one sailor drowned. the Ariel is a total loss.

In Dixon NL Charles Dicks, a farmer near Shaw Station, was found dead in bed after his buggy crashed into a telephone pole near Earl Clink’s home. he remained there overnight.
Chief Yeoman Fred J. Buenzle, barred from Newport dance hall, can sue for admission costs. Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice Sweetland ruled naval uniform wear does not change a patron’s ticket rights and proprietors may exclude anyone they choose. Buenzle received financial support from naval officers and President Roosevelt for the prosecution.
Jesse A. Walker, a rural mail carrier in the county's upper end, faced a Burlington freight blocking a road on his route last Monday. He asked the crew to cut the train to let him pass, but they refused, forcing a 16 minute delay. Warrants were sworn for the crew and a hearing was postponed due to the justice of the peace's absence. no trial has occurred.
