Six Die in Lenox Fire in Business District
Lenox Massachusetts April 12 six persons lost their lives and three were badly burned as a late night fire tore through the heart of the town. Four business blocks two residences and two other structures were destroyed in the area bounded by Franklin Main and Church streets. In St Louis on April 12 thousands gathered as 80 of 125 recruits for a black church's navy of the Lord were immersed in the icy Mississippi river by Rev. B. J. Parker known as The Admiral.
