Roblin Community Notes from Nine Decades Ago
Roblin headlines recount a 20 year past open shop on Main Street by John Morrall and mayoral bids by Lawrence Dietrich and Borden Hawrylake. A 10K Hike for Life drew almost 1500 supporters, raising about $2,500. A 17 year old died in a dune buggy accident and local clubs saw leadership changes. The report spans anniversaries from 80 to 100 years earlier, including water and harvest weather, local business debentures, theatre listings, and bridge construction updates.
