The Terry Fox Run on September 17 attracted about 45 participants, up from 17 last year, and raised nearly $1300, compared with $233 previously. The town’s support for Cancer Research and the Terry Fox Foundation was praised.

U C W members will gather at Evelyn McCrea's home on Tuesday October 3 at 1 30 PM. In other notes Wayne Jory Kurt and Kimberly visited Thompson to fish en route to Regina. Diane Livingston and family in Regina visited Jean Livingston and brothers Garth and Ian. Denis and Emily Kendall from Langenburg visited Lena Merviuk. Sadie Staple hosted granddaughter Marya Stychyshyn and Edmonton friend for the Petz wedding in Russell. Tom and Elaine Scott of Winnipeg and Jean Rice of Toronto visited Jack Mitchell.
Roblin and District Health Care Auxiliary met with 21 members to plan the Annual Fun Fair set for Saturday October 28 at 11 am. Barbara Popoff received a bursary at graduation in June. Quilt projects for Crocus Court residents and penny auction item contributions were discussed. tickets will be raffled at the fair.
