The community joined the 28th Terry Fox Run to help keep Fox's cancer cure quest alive. More than two million participants in 55 countries, including Cuba, China and Ireland, join annually, with over $400 million raised since 1980 and only three cents of every dollar used for administration.
Shirley Davis hosted relatives Ted and Margaret Davis of McCauley Manitoba and Jim and Sheila Pyott of Swan River during the past week. Also visiting were Wes and Dean Chase from Port Alberni British Columbia and Barrhead Alberta, plus Sharon Buckmaster of Manor Saskatchewan and Beryl Cowan with The Church Belles from Swan River. The quartet performed at the personal care home before stopping for a visit.
Welcome home to the Ferguson ladies Blanche and Evelyn with get well wishes for both. Happy Birthday to Gladys Craig on Sept 30. Sorry I missed you last week. Everyone is welcome to attend bingo here every Tuesday night at 7 pm.

The Rec Commission announces SS Skating and Skills Hockey Camp October 14–18 led by Mark Scott, with a $60 fee and a $75 bundled option. Dry land training runs October 6–10 for $30. KidSport offers up to $300 per applicant with fall intake by October 15. Youth hockey starts mid November at $20 yearly. indoor soccer and karate classes begin soon with registration details through the Rec Office and local contacts.
