Mr and Mrs Jas McDuffe Jr visited Brandon to see the latter's parents. Mrs A Chisholm left for Winnipeg last Thursday night for a few days. Niwn, McCulloch resumes duties for the balance of the term. Roy Chase is the first thresher in his district this year having threshed early cut barley. Our Junior baseball boys are acquiring part of their equipment and practice regularly, signaling a developing team.

Wheat Harvest Starts As Farmers Begin Cutting

The September 1 wheat cutting begins among local farmers led by Mr P Sloan who narrowly escaped a kick from a horse last week. Congratulations go to Mr H Wilson for winning first prize in the Stand offered by the Togo Agricultural Society. Alfred Soutter departs to teach in Saskatoon on Sept 2, after visiting local farms and schools. Mrs Coltart, formerly Miss Stewart, visits district, staying with Mrs W H McKnight and touring the former school, as community sends best wishes back to her in Carberry.
