Martens Named CSBA President Adds National Role
Mountain View School Division trustee Floyd Martens was elected CSBA president in July after serving as vice president. The Manitoba educator says CSBA connects provincial associations to share best practices and advocate on national issues including student wellness and Indigenous education. He notes that while education is provincial, CSBA coordinates on federal concerns and builds regional ties, requiring travel to AGMs and meetings across Canada.
