Canola and Wheat Harvest Aid Faith Growers in Roblin
Roblin’s FAITH project for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank harvested this year amid weather challenges. About 45 bushels per acre were produced, with 90 to 95 percent of wheat, 90 percent of barley, and 80 percent of canola in. The effort expects to raise about $25,000 more for CFB, doubling with federal matching funds, with Parkway Co-op supplying fuel for threshing and Yorkton crushers receiving canola delivery.
