Sunday school at Cromarty church drew locals including Miss K Collins and Miss B Grassie who returned from town visits. A fire destroyed a granary of rye belonging to Mr Simpson. Mrs Batkervie arrived home with infant Ruby Anne. An old fashioned quilting bee was held at Mrs J Conan’s home with friends.

Local Social and Travel Notes From Yorkton Area

R M Parker motored to Ruel on Subday last. Dr and Mrs Brookler visited Yorkton for several days last week. H Grown and A F Painter were in Yorkton on business. Dr M Brookler left for Yorkton Wednesday, expected to be away a few days. The Dog and Girls Pig Club Fair was held here Tuesday afternoon, a good attendance. Mrs Jamey Topham entertained girls from Tego at a nine dinner party Tuesday. Mack McEwen returned to Winnipeg after visiting his parents, taking a civil engineering course at the University. Dr Godfrey P Baker was in Kamstock for days on professional duty. The Anglican Church box social and dance at Davis Hall drew a large crowd with the Deepdale orchestra playing.

The Ukrainian people are noted for amateur theatrical production. Mr M. Mickasevich, a leading social worker, plans an English play and seeks local cooperation. an announcement will follow.
