Me John Samuel Watson aged 67 years, long-time district resident, died suddenly at his sister Mrs D McDougall's home in Tummel on Tuesday evening after driving his sister and Mrs Campbell to Doughams' home for an afternoon visit. He sat in his chair and passed away before help arrived, leaving sympathy from The Review to his relatives and friends.
Roblin locals note visits from Mr. 5. L. Mitchell in Winnipeg and Miss Florence Donoghue heading to Dauphin for Normal. Ernie Herchmer from Saskatoon visits, while H. J. Everall becomes Vice-President of the Northern District Teachers Association at Dauphin’s convention. The junior baseball team enjoyed a lively hall games night with prizes awarded to Cliff Rutledge and Nate WilIy, and Miss L. Wells with Kurt Vansickle. Principal Merrell treated the children to a concert, followed by club swinging by Clarence Merrell. A quiet wedding occurred Thursday at Rev. A. Chisholm’s home uniting John Skilleter and Miss M. Antonake. The Union Ladies Aid met at Mrs. Wells’ home. resignations of Pres. Mrs. Hill and Sec. Mrs. Ed Johnston accepted. New officers Mrs. Merrell and Mrs. Drinkwater elected. bazaar and sale of work planned for December 1.
