Prairie grasshoppers surge with dry Prairies forecast
Agriculture Canada reports grasshopper numbers have begun to decline after a peak two or three years ago, but continued dry weather could trigger larger invasions on the Prairies. Insect problems there closely track conditions and a dry growing season may increase outbreaks.
