Ladies Club May Meeting Plans and Local Events
The Ladies Club met in the Community Centre with thirteen members. They scheduled a picnic supper for June 28 and a cemetery work day on May 24. A bake sale at the Co‑op raised funds, with Sam Robinson drawing the raffle winner and Ernie Williams winning the Shillcraft pug. Visitors included Mr. Bryan and Wayne MacLeod from Winnipeg and Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Grierson. Mrs Powcher has returned home after two weeks in hospital.

The wedding of Esther Baumung of Calder Saskatchewan to Rom Wasilinchuk took place at Greece Lutheran Church in Zorra with attending relatives Mr and Mrs Erwin Baumung. Community Club met with Ed Waggoner presiding. Plans were made for a bake sale fundraising two dollars per baking donation. Hospital Auxiliary bazaar and tea set for June 8.
