Mustard plaster car and sunlit rails headline Arctic expansion

Arthoe W Cullen, Chicago wheat king, plans a $2,000,000 pleasure park project alongside the Canadian Pacific Transcontinental line. The new Solarium car on the Empress of Canada features vita-glass for sun rays. CP staff joke about mustard plasters but justify the glass end sun room. A tunnel linking North Vancouver to the Transcontinental system opens with Governor-General aboard the inaugural train. Captain Middleton of the Alberta receives three top hats as he begins port calls, a playful record-keeping gesture.
