The Women's Institute met Thursday. They planned a Flower Show in August and ongoing home grounds improvements. The group praised the village as a beauty leader in 1954 and expects the title in 1955. A film on Cancer was discussed with plans to show it and invite local doctors to speak.

March Meeting of Ladies Aid Held March 2

The March meeting of the Ladies Aid met March 2 at 3 p.m. at Mrs F Y Newton's home with 10 members present. Mrs Britcher chaired. They opened with the Lords Prayer and read the scripture. They decided to serve a banquet for Save the Soil and donated $25 to Protector for Junior Congregation. The meeting closed with a Mispha Benediction. Launch Committee for April named Mrs Britcher Mrs Goodbun and Mrs Lawrence. The April meeting will be at Mrs Goodbun's home on the sixth at 3 p.m.

Bield Consolidated School trustees met on Monday March 21 with all members present. They passed payment for Manitoba Power Commission Wood McLeod's Store Roblin Consumers Co op Mitchell's Drug Store and others and approved van applications for several drivers. The school will close for Easter holidays from April 7 to April 19.
