Merridale Novelty Dance Draws Large Merridale Crowd
Merridale school hosted a March 11 Novelty dance with strong attendance. Winners included Miss Dora Syko and Steve Syko for the Waltz, Helen Holinsky and Steve Philips in another dancing category, and Dora Soko with Dave Wright in back to back two step. The Endurance Highland Scottish was decided by a draw between Miss Dora and Dave Wright after eleven minutes of fast music. Miss Sadie Poyser and Jack Nasrom won the five-judge Fat and Lean quadrille prize, with Stella Holinsky and J Motyka taking the shoe race.
