Bonspiel and curling wins, hockey score, and a new mill project bring industry boost, with farmers to benefit from local flour production and grain handling improvements.
In QEEPDALE last Friday night Mrs J McNeil directed The Little Clothopper presented by the Rob in Players to a large appreciative audience. The cast featured Mus Ring as the local district nurse and other players delivering strong performances. A pleasant dance wrapped up the evening's entertaining program.
Community notes report Orville Wals illness and a whist drive Friday night with prizes won by Miss M Walavee and Mr Frank Mois. The CFLWAL meeting shifts to Mrs Dover's in Lith place of Mrs Wilsons. Alvin McKnight traveled to Winnipeg. Trustees Convention mentioned. Prizes for the genis Orst and led consolation went to Albert Holend, Jas Thompson, and Mrs Sloan.

An Ukrainian concert on Saturday drew friendly locals, and Nick Paulus trains for a marathon as Tamma pushes a motor car. Nitti Sehust reports Wilpster’s engine failed after a noble effort.
Mewars A Clive and Lo Sawicki led a district social last week at Reed Hall. Guests Cameron and Kerr organized the event with Robbin and BL Tons providing music and other entertainment. Attendees reported one of the best times this winter, with lively dancing and a four piece orchestra.

Arnott urges council to restrain road bosses and emphasize thrift as excess production influences priorities.

Public notice announces an auction of reverted school lands in Manitoba to be held in Dauphin at 9:00 a.m. Terms require one tenth cash with balance in annual installments at six percent, or one fifth cash with four annual installments for parcels under forty acres. It notes most large cities have airports but gaps remain, stressing needed reunified stations for commercial aviation to develop.
A British airplane carrying four passengers and weighing nine tons set a new speed record on a Paris to London flight. The 290 mile journey was completed in 95 minutes at an average of 141 miles per hour, surpassing the prior London to Paris record of 99 minutes with an average speed of 145 miles per hour.
