Chili Cook-Off Opens Roblin Ag Society Summer events

Roblin Agricultural Society launches a Chili Cook-Off as part of Canada Day celebrations to raise funds for the Roblin Fair and Rodeo. Gail Chescu invites teams to enter, with judging by attendees and half the proceeds to the winning chili. The event supports Li Britches and MRCA rodeos plus local rodeo acts. Roblin Lions Club folds after four decades of service

Roblin District Lions Club members voted to fold amid an aging roster and no new prospects. President Dieter Schmitt cited an average member age of 75 and difficulty filling executive roles, noting only 21 members remain with few capable of active work. The decision ends a long community service chapter and comes as other Roblin events, like the Ranch rodeo, continue to draw interest at the agriculture society facilities.
