Order of Royal Purple Installs New Officers
On Tuesday June 8 the Order of the Royal Purple installed new officers led by District Deputy S hr L Gray of Dauphin. Mary Perry was named Honored Royal Lady with Marjorie Kelso Immediate P HRL and others filling key posts. Members funded Easter Seal and arthritis society campaigns, donated to Mental Health and local groups, sponsored trophies, hosted a hockey night, and entertained seniors at a tea. Traveling apron raffle awarded to Mrs Louise Yakimishyn. activities resume in September for another busy year.

By fall 1966 nine hundred Roblin and rural district customers will get dial telephones. Construction of the new office at Highway 5 and 83 starts January 1966. Roblin lines switch from manual to digital numbers with 7 digit codes. San Clara customers will also receive 7 digit numbers and calls within Roblin remain free.
