Ten ladies attended the June Zorra Lutheran Ladies' Aid meeting led by Rev. Paul Borchardt. The group studied Worship O King from the Lutheran Women's quarterly, filed minutes, handled treasurer reports, and approved a $50 donation for camp bunk mattresses.
Eric E. Bartz of Winnipeg has been appointed Roblin's Summer Recreational Director for the months ahead. Manitoba's Fitness and Amateur Sport Branch hired ten university students in Physical Education and Recreation Studies to support the pilot program. Bartz has cross sport experience and will write a weekly column in the Roblin Review, contactable at the Gordon Hotel.
Residents will view fine projects by the Bield 4H Woodworking Club led by Emil Sebulski at the Shell River Municipal Office. Extension Service notes the display honors the club members and their leader.
Roblin Community Youth Band directed by Const. Mike McMahon marched in the two mile Kamsack Jubilee parade. The group then performed a short program at the fair grounds recognizing community life and local youth programs.

Roblin Pony wins opener 2 1 vs Swan River with Herb Andres on the mound. Grandview defeats Roblin 7 3 to take top honors. Roblin Juveniles win at Kamsack 106 in a game highlighted by Taras Horbay’s first homer and Ken Bahrey on the mound. Next games set for Togo July 1 and San Clara July 4.
The Grade VII graduation at Goose Lake Intermediate School drew a large audience Friday evening. Principal T Paley hosted the event with remarks on effort and character while new principal O Ziolkoski outlined collegiate options and the need for hard work. Twenty with diplomas were announced as teachers and the community celebrated with awards for scholastic achievement and attendance.
A town recreation committee outlines a summer program with swimming, basketball, volleyball, badminton for teens, a playground for under-14s, rifle range and mixed softball for adults. They seek interest forms, offer transport, and invite ideas from residents to ensure a successful season.
At a pair of special meetings on Monday June 28 Roblin's Recreation Director met with the Recreation Committee to discuss the summer program and set tentative plans. Members include Julie Mitchell Iris Shepherd Lorene Ward Frank Campbell Wm Gamey Sam Lebedovich Harry Maslove Irwin Edel Bob Shepherd and Allan Martin with Sam Lebedovich as chairman Frank Campbell as vice chairman and Iris Shepherd as secretary treasurer.
