Cromarty 4 H Beef Club held the achievement on Friday June 8 with Judge Mr. Rubin Warner and Mr. Jam Ward placing exhibitors calves. Champion Dale Simpson and reserve exhibitor Dale Simpson received awards. A liveweight guessing contest crowned Dale Simpson at 925 pounds. Brian Watson’s calf weighed 910 pounds. Calves were then sent to Foxwarren for the Fat Stock Show and Sale.

Skinner Family To Present New Trophy For Annual Horticulural Show
The Roblin Horticultural Society held its June meeting with twelve members and set final plans for the Peony Show. Miss Audrey van Drecht of Brandon Manitoba formerly of Makaroff a bride elect of June 23 was honored at a miscellaneous shower May 31 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J Davis in Makaroff. Guests included Lorraine Hilderman who pinned the corsage and seated Audrey, with pink and white decor and a bell centerpiece. Gifts were hidden around rooms and a bride’s book was viewed and signed. Audrey thanked her friends and invited them to visit on her Rivers Manitoba farm.

The third annual competition sponsored by CJGX Yorkton was held Saturday night June 9 at the Holiday Inn.
