Manitoba Autopac Forms Issued For Agents
Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation mailed an information bulletin and Autopac application forms to general insurance agents. Eligibility depends on holding a licence as of July 1 1970 and earning over 25 percent of income from auto insurance with gross auto commissions above 2000. Applications may use 1969 or 1970 income figures, with potential MPIC board allowances for special cases. The initial phasic Autopac commission is seven percent for the first 16 months, with other rates to be announced within ten days. Deadline is June 30 1971. About 600 of 1200 agents are expected to qualify to sell Autopac, which will streamline paperwork and reduce costs. James Harbin coordinates the program.

Manitoba Public Insurance launches a special refund and a deferred payment option for drivers hit with additional premiums for six or more demerits.
