Record Number of Retirements Anticipated at MVSD
MVSD Mountain View School Division expects a record number of retirements this year. At the May 26 meeting Superintendent Jack Sullivan told trustees the retirement intention deadline was May 30 and over 25 notices had been received. He noted many staff filed early, enabling earlier job postings and a strong resume flow. Sullivan also said some educators are leaving, despite hiring many qualified staff. The retirement appreciation dinner is set for June 12. Secretary-Treasurer Bart Michaleski reported a slight deficit drop from about $30,000, with a funding adjustment adding roughly $40,000, bringing the deficit to $143,472.
