Manitoba STARS report released on air ambulance reforms
The Clinical Oversight Committee released recommendations to boost patient safety and service quality for STARS. Proposals include CMA accreditation, an operations liaison committee, a standards committee, integration with the EMS system, a paediatric transport team, and resumption of inter facility transports, which began July 2 amid flood-related emergencies. Since 2011 STARS has completed 721 missions transporting 486 patients.
