Manitoba health card may merge with drivers licences
The province weighs linking the Manitoba health card to MPI issued photo IDs to reduce cards and boost identity security. Health minister Sharon Brady says current holders would gain photo ID, while MPI would verify identity only and no health or driver records would be shared. Public input starts in September with surveys and mall displays.
