Mavis Arlene Ford wed Lawrence Simpson Hyde in a formal ceremony at Pealey United Church with Rev. G Wad dell officiating. Nan Christie sang, Ellen Cotter was matron of honor, bridesmaids wore turquoise organza gowns, and Robert Hyde served as best man. After a buffet reception the couple honeymooned at Caddy Sage and will reside in Winnipeg.

Radar curbs speed on Manitoba highways weekends
R C M P report more orderly weekend traffic since radar use in Manitoba. In 14 days of July 135 speeding violations were recorded by radar plus 40 by patrol cars, total 175, compared with 62 last year. One radar unit operated 32 hours, clocking 5312 vehicles. Officials say aims are educational with written warnings, prosecutions for excessive speeding.

Obituary for Thomas Jones Pioneer of Togo District
Thomas Jones died at Yorkton Auxiliary Hospital on July 10 1960 at 79 after a lengthy illness. Born in Manchester England in 1881 he later moved to Owen Sound Ontario and settled in Togo in 1909 where he farmed and homesteaded. He married in 1913 and moved to Togo village in 1928, living there until his death. Survived by son Sheldon Roblin Manitoba and three grandchildren. Funeral July 13 at St Pauls United Church Togo with interment in Togo Cemetery.
