Hail damage claims pour in by the hundreds

Trevor Britton of the Manitoba Crop Insurance Corporation in Grandview says that over 400 hail damage claims were handled this week. The Roblin area suffered the worst damage, with more than 100 square kilometres affected and losses exceeding one million dollars. Local insurers report hundreds of property and crop claims as extra estimators arrive from Winnipeg to keep up with demand.
