The East Central Cancer Care Committee formed in 2014 now has 28 members from 14 communities and aims to upgrade or replace the crowded Russell Health Centre chemotherapy space. Plans include a new 2000 sq ft facility on PMH hospital property with private entrance, four treatment chairs, two doctor rooms, staff facilities, and privacy compliant features. Government approval pending as fundraising continues through 2018 subcommittee Crop of Hope with donated land parcels and canola field efforts north of Inglis and south of Birtle.
