Rain drains strain Roblin as deadly water flood hits
A Canada Day weekend downpour totaling 72.6 mm challenged Roblin’s lift stations causing ponding and sewer backups. Private contractors cleared drains while the fire department pumped out water on Bud and 6th avenues. Road closures spread to the RM of Hillsburg and Shell River as maintenance crews battled overflow and track-bed damage.
