MVSD Eyes Up to 10 Million for Capital Projects

Mountain View School Division plans a third bylaw to borrow for capital expenditures totaling about 6.3 million since July 2015 with ongoing projects at DRCSS MMS and Grandview. The board anticipates up to 10 million in 2016 and notes a potential March debenture closure and more bids in February.

Roblin Agricultural Society reports strong year and MRCA boost

The Roblin Agricultural Society highlighted a successful year with an MRCA benefit rodeo the return of the Heavy Horse Pull and a $70,000 Co op Community Spaces grant. Exhibitors reached 47 with 27 juniors, prize money totaled $2,981.04, judging $452.04, and the pie auction brought in $662. New plans include upcoming MRCA rodeo in Roblin July 16 17 and improvements to grounds, bleachers, and facilities.
