Soldiers train in freezing conditions at Shilo area
Soldiers from the 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery conducted cold weather training January 19 to 22 at Lake of the Prairies and Asessippi Ski Area. The program included cold water immersion and dog sledding to build winter survival skills, with patrols through Asessippi Provincial Park. Key lesson: calm breathing in the first minute after immersion.
