Massey Harris President Honored At Toronto Dinner

James S. Duncan, CMG, marks 40 years with Massey Harris at a Toronto dinner attended by over 200 Canadian and U.S. colleagues. A gift painting by Cleeve Horne and an illuminated address signed by nearly 14,000 employees highlighted the tribute. Duncan recalled starting as an office boy in 1910 and rising to president in 1959.

Mr and Mrs Brydon were honored at a farewell party in Roblin before leaving by train to White Rock British Columbia on Tuesday January 17. Mr and Mrs J Nott hosted friends Saturday evening while Mr and Mrs W Watson and daughter Myrna visited the Clement home in Tunnel. Ken Laird is a postoperative patient in Russell hospital after an appendicitis operation last Friday. Hydro has been turned on in Cromarty district homes this week, bringing brighter light and new life to farmers. The scene of frosty snow and beacons for late travelers reflects high spirits at the power turn on, with residents calling it wonderful.

Gleneden Maple Leafs aim to raise funds via a Junior Red Cross Valentine raffle at the school.
