The Roblin Rough Riders finished as runners up in the 12 team Flin Flon Atom invitational. The squad, led by Theoren Fleury, defeated Hudson Bay 6-1 and Snow Lake 5-2 before a 6-3 final loss to TMCC Bombers in Whitney Forum.

Mr and Mrs Ron Leis spent the weekend in Saskatoon. Mr and Mrs Darwin Mulroy and boys of Drayton Valley visited his parents Mr and Mrs J Mulroy. Mr O Weir spent the weekend at home with family. Mr Henry Leis visited Regina to see his wife in Plains Hospital. Mrs Cynthia Dickie and Mrs Archie Parker visited Saskatoon with Mrs Helen Parker. Mr and Mrs Bert Franklin attended the funeral of the late Mr F Schrader at Roblin. Master Jeffery and Bobby Tom of Saskatoon holidayed with grandparents Mr and Mrs D Hackney. The regular U C W Meeting was held at the home of Mrs Ann Stryanko with 6 members and one visitor present. Bake Sale Lunch at April Meeting Hosts Ada Gawley
The note says a bake sale will be held in April and lunch served at the annual meeting with the next meeting at Mrs Ada Gawley. Ladies quilting has started again and helpers are urged to attend. The hostess served a delicious lunch. Mr Fred Erhardt is in Plains Hospital Regina for medical care. Franklin visited with their daughter Mr and Mrs Fred Mann over the weekend.

Neil McKinnon age 60 of Togo Saskatchewan died December 18 1978 at Kamsack Union Hospital. Funeral December 21 at St Pauls United Church Togo with Reverend K Fisher officiating. Roblin Bonspiel Prep In Winnipeg Curling Cruise
Beattie of Makaroff and Dick Smith of Togo with Charlete Mr Jack McDuffe and Mr Harold Keast spent days in Winnipeg last week. They met their ship for the Roblin Men's Bonspiel and talked with Mr Wm Truffyn fresh from eastern Canada. They stayed at the Granite Curling Club and bought new curling brooms at Eatons Abstract Shop before leaving Winnipeg.
