The January 3 1950 council meeting swore in Reeve Clarke and councillors McCrea Luchuk. They approved December minutes and named McCrea Deputy Reeve and Beaven as SecTreas. for 1950. Roblin Area School Accommodation Greatly Improved
In 1950 the Roblin area reports major upgrades to schooling. Grand Narrows S C opens a new plant with full basement and indoor toilets while Walker builds a two room school near San Clara. the old Walker plant moves to Grand Prairie to add space. Hillsburg area schools gain face lifting at Timber Postup Shevlin Gilbert Shortdale Winona. Merridale lapsed but later improved, and Bield may add to its structure. The note credits early pioneers for one room schools and consolidation, and says further education improvements fall to the present generation.
