Misses Rita and Jean Fletcher were weekend visitors in town C Argent motored to Dauphin for New Years. Misses Shearson Hazel and Mary were passengers on Saturday night express. Aliss Minnie Burton visited her aunt in Dauphin during the holiday. Mr and Mrs G A Cooper and family spent New Years Day at Meharry. Miss Alice and Miss Ruby Cooper joined festivities at Meharry. A large number of young folks attended the bachelor dance in Bield on New Years Eve. Shortdale school reopened January 4 with light attendance due to Ukrainian holiday. The Ukrainian Christmas Tree attracted many, with St Nicholas giving gifts aided by Tesy Yaveentuik and Olga Maluta as angels. The Helping Hand staging a safety benefit on January 16 in the Gaiety, seeking broad support.
