A new Grade 4 program named 1 2 3 SNOW invites all Grade 4 students to learn to ski or snowboard with a coupon book covering three hits, three rentals, and three lessons after a $10 non refundable registration. Roblin RCMP seek help in copper theft case

Manitoba Crime Stoppers and Roblin RCMP seek tips on a November 6 theft from the Manitoba Hydro yard. Police say thieves cut the rear fence, took copper wire and tools left at the scene. Information can be reported to Roblin RCMP at (204) 937-8054 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 TIPS with up to 2000 dollars offered for information. Callers may remain anonymous.

Calgary woman to carry Olympic torch in January relay

Patricia Piwniuk a 26 year Zellers employee and breast cancer survivor has been chosen by the HBC Olympic committee to carry the Olympic torch during the Calgary leg on Saturday January 19. After a police background check VANOC approved her and she is set to run about 300 meters amid family support and security.
