The Roblin Ladies Bonspiel opened Monday February thirteen with thirty rinks including nineteen local and eleven visiting from Togo Dropmore Dauphin Yorkton Gilbert Plains Makarodi Grandview. Winners included Mrs A Campbell Grandview in First Event and V Davis Makaroff in Large Event. other event winners were P Fraser Dauphin J Scott, Grandview L Wilson, with trophies presented by various officials. The banquet followed with local talent noted and sportspmanlike tributes to winners and losers.

The Bield Centennial Carnival drew crowds despite cold weather on Saturday February 18. Activities included costume judging, ice skating by the Bield club led by Pat Hojnocki and Marlene Rice, and Marlene Shipaloski crowned Queen receiving the Roblin Centennial Committee trophy. Prizes were awarded to Kelvin Wasylenchuk Johnny Klemetski and J Pleb. Roblin Tom Thumbs beat Bield, Shortdale defeated Bield in broom ball, ski doo rides thrilled attendees, a bonfire warmed riders, and St Vinds won a hockey game 5 to 4 before a moccasin dance finale.

The Cromarty 4-H Club hosted a Centennial Winter Picnic at Makaroff on Saturday February 18 with curling all day.
