MVSD reviews International Education amid restructuring

MVSD plans a restructuring of its International Education program as director Dwayne Zarichny departs. Superintendent Jack Sullivan says Zarichny’s contract expired December 31 and will not renew a director role. Focus shifts to homestays and school support with longer stays, fewer short trips, and tighter resources.

Teen Health Clinic Opens at Goose Lake High

Sheila Kringle and Hollida Practun, with support from Goose Lake High officials Derrick Cameron and Michelle Perchaluk, cut the ribbon for the Teen Health Clinic opening on Feb 15. The clinic, run in collaboration with Grandview Medical Clinic physicians, will operate one day weekly with walk-in and appointment options for teens. Rural Manitoba now has 11 teen health clinics including Borketon and Dauphin’s DRCSS.
