The Community Club held its February meeting at Mrs. J. Poucher's home with eight members present. A bazaar was planned for the future and sewing materials were ordered. Review of Results from Brandon Experimental Farm 1956
The fourteen page mimeographed Review of Results summarizes 1956 cereal and forage crop performance at Brandon and other Manitoba sites including fertilizer and weed control trials. It covers beef cattle tests swine breeding poultry nutrition peas disease control and germination studies with broader notes on Waboden and Portage la Prairie operations. Free copies available from the Experimental Farm Brandon. Within a month after the Hungarian disturbances the Canadian Junior Red Cross donated 30000 to buy winter clothing for Hungarian refugees.
