Elijah the Prophet and the Transfiguration Link
The text extols Elijah as a central biblical figure linking him to Christ and John the Baptist. It recounts Elijah challenging Ahab's Baal prophets, summoning lightning against captors, and returning as a beggar then a wealthy guest. It notes Elijah's ascension to heaven body and spirit, his miracles for the widow, and his foreshadowing of Jesus and salvation history. Elijah’s meeting with Moses and Jesus is highlighted as pivotal, with guidance on seeking Yahweh in quiet moments.
