Edith Jeanette Fatteicher, 37, of Togo died when her eastbound SUV pulled onto Highway 83 and was broadsides by a southbound semi. Fatteicher and her three children, ages three months, three and five, were buckled in. All others were uninjured. RCMP investigate. no charges yet.
The Roblin Shell River Fire & Rescue department urges truckers to drive with headlights on if daytime running lights are absent after a fatal crash between a semi and a car. Letters were sent to Louisiana Pacific Roblin Forest Products and Roblin Truck Service. Chief Bowley says it’s a precautionary measure and the exact headlight usage in the accident is unconfirmed.
