Double celebration marks Sliver Wedding in district

Bonspiels and rink action around Togo and area

Rinks led by Olson and Gawl ey compete in regional bonspiels. D Dave Nabe leaves for Saskatoon. Five rinks from Togo enter the Kamsack Bonspiel begun February 4 with skips Gawley Hampson Olson Hisner and Matvenko. Mrs Wes Scoville visits Fargo for her mother I Larson’s 100th birthday celebrated January.

Weekend Visit and Condolences Note in Silverwood

Rod and Gun Digest Executives Meet at Portage

The Provincial Game and Fish Federation held its first executive meeting in Portage last Wednesday. Paul Murphy was unanimously re elected secretary manager for 1957. Finances for Federation and Magazine were reported strong. Over 60 000 resident angling licenses were sold last year. A new trout rearing building was completed at White Shell and Splake fishing will open at Hunt Lake in 1957 with a one per angler limit. New ammunition announced by Canadian Industries Limited includes 358 Winchester 200 grain soft point, 270 Winchester 10 grain soft point, 243 Winchester 75 and 100 grain soft point, and 244 Remington 75 grain soft point. The latter two are under development.
