Miss Hattie May Glover, long resident of Naramata BC and former Thornbury Ontario native, died recently. Funeral services were held January 20 at Penticton Funeral Chapel. Survived by sister Mrs W C Kines, two brothers George Nipawin and Charles Nanaimo, numerous nieces nephews and grandnieces. interment at Naramata Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anastazya Bancarz of Deepdale were conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Roblin’s Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Ronco presiding. Burial followed at Roblin Parish Cemetery. Survivors include Vincent Bancarz and three sons, plus a daughter and a brother and sister in the Western Ukraine.

Four-In-One 4-H Club Formed In Cromarty District
Four in one 4-H club organized in Cromarty Manitoba brings beef sewing garden and tractor projects under one leadership. Forty-two youths from twenty five families form the first such club in the province with monthly meetings at Cromarty schoolhouse five miles west of Rodlin. Leaders include Ralph Harlow Robin Watson J Coutts J Dike Wellington Watson Joe Perchaluk W Radford and Ralph Harrow with assistance from Boughton and district home economist Miss Louise Eatho.

The Evening Guild met at Mrs. G. Waddell’s home on January 26 with 19 members and one visitor. Ag Rep Report Details 1950 For Seed Demonstration Policy
The Robins Ag Rep notes a policy offering legume and grass seed mixes for ten acre demonstrations to study growth habits. The department covers about one third of seed cost, aiding feeding and selling practices. Seeding is limited to one use per farmer, with 15 lots available this year. Ten acre mixes cost 17.00, due February 26 at the Agricultural Office. Farmers who used the Policy remain eligible for Demonstration Policy if they have not yet secured an initial allotment.
