George Ford Tummel, a pioneer of the Tummel district, died Friday morning at age 68 after a brief rheumatic fever illness. He came from Elma Ontario, homesteaded in the Tummel area in the 1880s, and is survived by his wife Ed wards, a son William, a daughter Mrs Henry Cranwell, plus sisters Mrs Blough and Mrs Walker and other relatives. The funeral was held Monday conducted by Rev Robert Harvey with interment in Tummel cemetery.
