Obituary for Letita Mary Ann Schick from Roblin Hospital
Letita Mary Ann Schick died after a short illness at Roblin Hospital on January 20 1962 aged 45. Funeral services were held January 24 at Roplin Memorial Hall with Mr Watchorn and Mr Thompson officiating. Interment followed at Tummer cemetery. She was born at Plumas Manitoba and married Johann Christian Schick in 1939. Surviving are her husband, son Calvin, daughters Dyana Ivy and Alice, her mother Mrs Lawrence Johnson, a brother Jack Stinson, and sisters Mrs Ivan Sundquist and Miss Lzzelle Johnson.

Masons Held Curlerama at Roblin Curling Rink
The Roblin Masonic Lodge hosted a two-end round robin curling bon spiel at the Roblin Curling Rink on Monday January 29 starting 1 PM. All rinks played at least two ends. no winners were declared. Visiting rinks came from Esterhazy Togo Russell Dauphin Grandview Gilbert Plains and Swan River. A turkey and hammorgasborg followed at the Masonic Temple with about 75 members attending. Mr. E Bramwell supervised and Mr Jack Pound led the evening ceremonies.

Final Knox United Ladies Aid Meeting Concludes
The Knox United Church Ladies Aid held its final annual meeting at Mrs. J. Goodbun’s home. Devotion opened the session with scripture read by Mrs. Goodbun. Mrs. H. R. Mitchell gave the Lesson Thought. Reports from secretary treasurer and committee chairmen were presented. Funds disposed of: 50 dollars to United Church Women, remainder to finish lower half of the church. Life Membership awarded to Mrs. L. Jory for long service. Mrs. Jory and others expressed thanks to Mrs. Goodbun. Members remain Charter Members of U.C.W.

Roblin Motorist Charged After January Highway Collision
Steve Gawdun of Calder Sask pleaded not guilty in Dauphin provincial police court to impaired driving. He was remanded to Federal Court for trial after RCMP charged him following a January 24 accident on Highway 5 in Roblin that injured Mrs. Harry Sudeyko, 37, who is recovering in hospital.

The Dale Olson rink won first in the second event at the Kamsack Bonspiel and the Matvenko rink placed fourth in the third event. Kamsack Midgets beat Togo 11 to 9 in hockey. Togo Pee Wee defeated Kamsack 2 to 0. Public health officers will meet residents at the Togo school on Monday February 5 at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday January 23 a fair crowd watched the Comos a collaboration of Inglis and Roblin players edge Grandview 5 4 at Roblin Skating Rink. Scorers included G Souter 2 goals Tom Bowley 2 Hugh Newton 2 with assists from Bowley Newton and Patterson. Future intermed games are Russell at Inglis February 2 and Inglis at Bredenbury February 10.

Peter Nowosad of Roblin was re elected chairman at the first trustees meeting of the year. Walter Maksymetz of Gilbert Plains was chosen vice chairman.
