New licence rules cut handivan costs for communities
Highways and Transportation Minister Albert Drieger announced that community handivans will not require a special livery licence. Roblin health centre administrator Clint Clearwater says the change lowers registration and insurance costs, with Autopac fees dropping to 151 or 179 and removal of a 150 application fee plus 50 annual renewals. Driver’s licence requirements remain unchanged.
