Zelena Youth Dies After Schoolyard Wrestling Incident
A Zelena boy died after a classroom wrestling incident near Zelena twelve miles north of Roblin. Eleven year old Maleshowski Evashuk was injured when a wrestling bout caused a nosebleed and swelling. His parents called Dr. B. Kanee who sent him to Dauphin hospital where he died the next day. Funeral services were held at St Michaels Great Catholic Church in Zelene. The boy left a family of five.
